Mechanism of Action:
Palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7 is a synthetic peptide composed of glutamine, glycine, arginine, and proline. It is known for its soothing abilities as a skin repair ingredient, as it interrupts factors within the skin that cause signs of irritation (including exposure to UVB light) and signs of loss of firmness. By working in this way, the skin can regain its firmness and repair, resulting in visibly fewer wrinkles. In addition to the four amino acids, this peptide contains the fatty acid palmitic acid, which enhances stability and skin penetration.



Applications:
Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7 is often used as part of a blend with other peptides such as Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, which can create great synergy and provide more targeted results for a wider range of skin concerns. When used alone, it is available in powder form, but in blends it is combined with hydrating agents such as glycerin, various glycols, triglycerides, or fatty alcohols, making them easier to incorporate into formulas.
